JLT Risk Solutions today announced the launch of its expanded global Sport and Entertainment practice. The team has exceptional experience of providing insurance solutions including four Olympic Events, The Ryder Cup, Wimbledon and other major sporting events.
JLT Sport & Entertainment, has assembled a team of the insurance markets' leading practitioners, headed by Tony Venning in London.
Venning, who has experience both as a broker and underwriter, is continuing to build the JLT's Sport practice as a world-class partner to the industry with a world-class team and his own experience in Australia and New Zealand, where clients include not only premier sportsmen and women but also leading sporting bodies.
Other senior members of the team are Duncan Fraser who has more than ten years experience of the sector, Jonathan Cole who specialises in the design and placement of contingency and personal accident risks and James Hopper who has over 30 experience of the design and placement of exposures for major sporting events. Their expertise embraces broadcasting, stadium cover, professional sports, amateur sports and major sporting events.
Individuals in the team are amongst the most experienced in the market and have personally been involved in providing innovative insurance solutions to various bodies and events around the world including the New Zealand Rugby Union, the Australian Football League, Swimming Australia, Cricket Australia. Netball Australia, FIFA, UEFA, the FA, Formula One Drivers, Wimbledon, British Open Golf, Summer and Winter Olympics and concerts including U2 World Tour, Pavarotti, Coldplay, Madonna, Robbie Williams and the Rolling Stones.
