Career Ending Injury
For the Club: A career ending insurance policy allows the club to replace the injured player; either through a new purchase or alternatively to pay the salary of a player it may sign for a short period. Insurance can be purchased for the whole team or for a few key players.
For the Player: An individual policy to protect the player against loss of future earnings through a career ending injury. Cover is provided for all playing, practising and training activities and is on a 24-hour basis. Insured values can be up to five times the salary of the player or the market value, if higher.
Accidental Death
If career ending disability cover is not the right solution, insurance can be bought to protect a football club as a result of a catastrophic accident. This covers accidental death only, on a 24 hour basis.
Wage Roll Protection
This product has been developed to cover clubs against financial loss following injury to players on guaranteed contracts. The sums insured can be the total wage roll for the players or a proportion of a player’s annual wage. This form of cover can also be arranged for National Associations providing benefit to clubs should their players be injured whilst on international duty.
Individual Insurance Protection
This form of cover protects individuals against loss of income should they be temporarily injured and are not covered under a guaranteed contract.
